Sophia Turns 3

Earlier in May, we gathered again at Build-A-Bear, this time for Sophia's birthday party. She enjoyed her big sister's building a bear party that she wanted one of her own. While the kids had a blast at both, this one was better in two ways for the parents - first, the store was way less crowded, and second, the person from the store who played host was more pleasant and into what she was doing. Like I said, I'm not sure the kids noticed either way, because they were just having fun!

LM decided to make a "football player" bear before we arrived.

Jon is 40!

This guy turned 40!

At the end of last month, yet another friend of ours turned the big 4-0. It's nice of them to all pave the way so easily before I have to do it this summer. Anyway, Jon had a happy hour get together, and Kim watched LM so we could stop by for a while.

Or, friends for a long time, anyway.

Fun times! It is my understanding that the fun times extended on into the evening and wee hours of the morning, culminating in karaoke. We had LM to pick-up and get to bed, so we only enjoyed the first few hours.

2-yr old Silliness

Silliness abounds these days:

Wearing Daddy's boots and trying to wear his belt.

I think he went with Daddy to the donut shop in this get-up.

Being a ham at one of his favorite restaurants...Bubba's.

In fact, the other day S was going to work late, so I told LM that he and I were going to go to dinner just the two of us. I asked him where he wanted to go. S isn't a big fan of Bubba's, so LM said to me, "Let's go to Bubba's because Daddy doesn't like to go there." Of course, we went to Bubba's!

Ice Cream!

I realized, when I downloaded photos from my phone and purse camera, that I have several photos of LM eating ice cream. It's not even the heat of the summer, and we're already eating ice cream regularly...ahem.

Making Memories with Nana

When we go to Indiana, we stay at Nana's house. So, there are "downtime" activities that the boy takes in with his Nana. These are great memories:

A Conversation with Unk

One of the days we were in Indy, we went to lunch at Shapiro's with Unk, Bevi, Lori and Isaiah. After the boy was done eating, he climbed up on Unk's lap and they talked about fishing, mainly:

I have such great memories of spending time with my Unk when I was little - he used to torment me to no end, but we had fun! Lots of wonderful times.

How big was it?

I'm so glad my boy gets to make memories with Unk too. That's pretty awesome.
