Denver Zoo

On our way back to the heat, we stopped in Denver. While there, we checked out the zoo. It was nice, but a little on the hot side that day. We still had some fun with the boy. Here are some photos:

We saw this show, which was pretty good.

We had to wait like five minutes for it to start.

This was the hardest part for LM.

Once it started, though, he thoroughly approved!

Of course we saw some animals too!

We also rode the train.

This was at the end of our visit, and LM was starting to wane. Once the train started going, though, he loved it. After the train, we rode the carousel, which had technical difficulties, meaning we had to wait a long time before it moved. A tired boy didn't find this the least bit entertaining. In fact, those photos are pretty entertaining because of how tired and bored the boy looks.

After the carousel, water and back to the car.

It was a good stop to break up the drive. We drove on to Pueblo that night, then Amarillo the next day, then finally back to the concrete jungle known as Dallas. Oy, sister, it's hot. And isn't planning to change for quite some time. Oh well, we have air conditioning!
