Halloween Wrap-Up

To wrap up our holiday, here are some photos of pumpkin carving and decorating, and some photos from the trick or treating festivities with Dallas cousins:

First up - carving a pumpkin for a school competition.

LM wanted to decorate his pumpkin with Daniel Tiger

 So, S found a template and tried his hand at carving the image.

Not bad, huh? 

They did not win, but they had fun.

We also decorated one pumpkin with foam stickers.

(LM mostly did this one by himself)

Then, we let LM paint the other pumpkin.

Happy Halloween!

To be timely for the holiday, I'll share some more recent photos. First, a couple from our "cousins in the pumpkins" time last Saturday at the Dallas Arboretum:

The band was pretty good! Very entertaining!

LM really enjoyed himself. 

I mean, there WAS candy involved!

He painted this little pumpkin.

And the playground was part of the fun, of course!

Today, LM has trick or treating and a Halloween party at school, and then we will trick or treat tonight with his cousins. Halloween is one of those holidays that, at least to me, is way more fun to experience with kids. Once mine are grown, I'll be renting some out. You have been warned. I hope your holiday is a fun one!

August in Indiana

Look at that! I've made it to August and it isn't even November! Woo-hoo! LM and I visited Indiana for a week in early August. Here are some of photos from that visit. I have more photos to post from this visit, but I may go ahead and post some Halloween photos for the rest of the week and then return to these photos after that. We'll see how it goes:

One afternoon we went to watch Deacon's football practice.

Oh, and we had to swing at Grandpa's a few times too.

While in Indy, we also went out on a lake with Unk, went to the State Fair, spent time with Nana and with Grandpa, and celebrated Cora's birthday. More on all of that later!

Tuesday's Party

Max, Tuesday and LM

Way back at the end of July, we attended LM's friend Tuesday's birthday party. It was a Minnie Mouse theme. Max was also there - these three have been good friends since they were babies - their new teachers in their 3 year old classroom learned very quickly these three could not nap near one another, for example, or no napping would take place. 

 

At the party, there was this Minnie balloon - the two boys thought it was awesome, turning it immediately into something to pull around the room and use as a punching bag. Looks like a punching bag to me! Anyway, this upset Tuesday quite a bit...so Minnie got relocated to the gift table, out of reach of the boys. 

So they moved on to the hats...

There was a DJ (corner), so the kids danced a lot.
