Also over the weekend our girl Veda turned eleven. ELEVEN!!! How can this be true? It is unbelievable to me. It was just yesterday when her Daddy called us in the early morning hours to tell us of her birth. And it'll be just a blink and she'll be driving, graduated, all grown up. Time flies way too fast! We had a little get together on Saturday night to celebrate the girl's 11th birthday. We also celebrated the next day at my dad's house during the Easter Egg hunt, but that's for another day. Here are the photos from THIS festive occasion:
Again, this cutie was there.
There were presents...check out those socks.
One present was the shoes to match those socks!
There were spectators...
There were overzealous "assistants"...
There were hand gestures.
After the presents, there was time for horsing around.
Continuing his love for the vacuum,
he rode and swept at the same time.
This was so cute.
Bevi helped one of the munchkins put on his socks and shoes. So then, the other munchkin wanted the same treatment. A little later, one munchkin wanted the shoes and socks back off - where did they go - to Bevi! I think she put shoes and socks on and off for both boys at least three times.
Another funny story - Veda asked her mom if she could decorate her cake. Terri was not sure, but Veda then said, "Come on! Sophie gets to decorate her cake!" Terri said, "She does?" And suddenly, all the reallly bad cake decorating she was attributing to her sister-in-law's poor skills came in to clarity. Ahem.
Pretty girl. That cake was yumm-o too.
Curls, curls curls!
They both wondered why I was taking their photo!
LM wasn't so sure of Unk for a while.
They made up later, though.
More vacuuming!
This wasn't posed or anything.
Suitable for framing.
As is this one.
Future Chippendale dancer...one of his new tricks - taking off his clothes.
Great time with family.
See you soon.
We enjoyed sharing our festivities with all y'all from Texas! Thanks for capturing the fun with your picture takin' gizmo. -Steve
