A Little Vacation Weekend

This summer the boys vacationed, as usual, in Vail, while I worked. However, since that is not vacation for me, I like to get away somewhere else in the summer too. Last summer, we went to San Diego and it was awesome. This year, I could not talk my husband into taking more than a long weekend away, so we went to a resort-style state park in southeast Oklahoma. We had nice weather and some fun time together, even if it was incredibly short. That said, I'm thankful we had the time and resources to get away at all. Here are some photos:

We went into town for some groceries.

Our hotel was right along the lake - one night we walked down to check it out at dusk.

Along here, it was a very rocky shore. Shale, quartz, etc.

On Monday, we rented a boat and went out on the lake. 

We had the lake practically to ourselves!
