Walking through the beluga whale and polar bear exhibit.
Beluga whale...
Polar Bear!
It was pretty darn hot at Sea World last Tuesday. In fact, even with sunscreen, we all got quite a bit of sun too - we should have been re-applying, I guess. Anyway, the polar bears were staying under water, mostly, which on a hot day in San Diego, was a good move.
OK, on to the dolphin show!!!
That woman is riding on the nose of a dolphin.
Bird-like acrobatics. And there were actual birds, too.
And pilot whales!
Then, more dolphins.
Do you see how high that dolphin is?
The end of show jumping was amazing.
This guy was part of the after-show clean-up crew, of course.
After dolphins, we had lunch!
Then we hit the Sesame Street area.
LM and S rode a couple of rides...
Then we tried the water area...
...but the ground was too hot for him when he took off his shoes.
So we went to meet Elmo instead.
He was excited to meet him but a little unsure.
Telly was there too!
Then he went to play in this toddler fun area.
This was definitely the hit of the park for him.
He had a blast with the other kids and the blocks.
Then we went to the dog show, where LM fell asleep in my lap.
He was totally tuckered out.
So, we walked around a bit more, saw the turtles and the otters, etc, but then we left, because it was HOT and much of the rest of the stuff we would have waited to see were not as interesting with the boy asleep. It was a great time, though, and we're glad we went.
See you soon.
