Sunsets

We went to the beach twice at sunset, and played at the pool one night close to sunset, so I thought I would put these photos all in one post. We drove out to Coronado Beach one night before sunset just to check it out so we could come back another day. We ended up walking all the way out to the water before we left. Then, we purposefully went to La Jolla beach near sunset one night so LM could play in the sand again and I could take sunset photos. And, the pool was just a good end-of-day activity. So, here we go. First, Coronado Beach:

LM was rather dubious about the whole endeavor.

OK, now on to La Jolla. This is the only location where we stayed THROUGH the sunset:

There was more fun in the sand, of course.

Look at the sand in his hair. Sand everywhere!

In fact, there is permanent sand in that shirt that won't come out.

Then I started taking way too many photo of the sun's descent.

The boy didn't seem to notice the beauty going on over the water. Ha.

But then they went down to the water for a while...

And I caught this one for my desk at work. Love.

Then the boys went down the beach a bit to try kite flying.


The boy was a BIG help, of course.


It worked...briefly. It was fun.






Then the sun went on down...


















...we played in the sand for a few more minutes...


...and then we went home.
