They Came Bearing Gifts

We attended several parties last year where the kids played the whole time and they didn't open presents. I thought this was a pretty good idea, since kids don't really find opening presents super interesting at this age. So, we planned the party with this in mind. It turns out the cousins wanted to stay to see him open his gifts anyway! So, after the party, we all went inside, thank goodness, out of the oppressive heat, and LM opened his very generous gift pile:

He was so freakin' excited about this umbrella.

He recently got to use it too!

Generally speaking, he took this present-opening business very seriously.

Everyone was very generous to him.

We have a house full of toys to prove their generosity!

Oh man, he was so excited about this!

And he loved the shopping cart too.

He pushes that thing around here with Grover as passenger all the time.

And sometimes with Mr. Potato glasses, too.

But usually the bike helmet is on his head.

And, later that afternoon, trying out the tee ball.

A good time was had by my Little Man, for certain. It was a good day.
