This sculpture is in the parking area.
Generally speaking, the fact that the LM could climb on and explore everything we came across was very cool - unlike many parks with sculpture in them, this one is fully interactive - every single thing (except one out in the water) can be touched, climbed upon, sat on, etc. So, that made it pretty cool. I hope they keep that as a focus of future installations.
The delicate wildflowers were also beautiful!
Then it was on to Funky Bones.
Then we took a walk back to the visitor center...
...where there were bathrooms.
(That is actually part of one of the art installations in the photo, too.)
Beautiful walk.
Then we walked around some more - we had a stroller with us that was battling the gravel, which impeded our progress somewhat.
Nonetheless, we saw this installation!
When I took this photo,
Mom said, "LM, your Mama's taking pictures of the weeds!"
Pretty weeds...
LM couldn't quite reach this art.
But my zoom lens could!
A blue heron, I think.
Really beautiful place and a lovely time.
When I went to the website to find links to the sculpture, I realized we missed several other large installations! It could have been the gravel drive we didn't traverse with the stroller...not sure. But, we were spent by the time we left - lots of walking, and time for lunch. I hope to go back again sometime to see the rest! And, special thanks to Mom for taking the photos of me and the boy. They are nice to have!
See you soon.
