The Animals at Greer Farm

Also at the farm were several different kinds of animals, as you might imagine.

This sweet border collie reminded me of my own Ellie -
she was obsessed with getting you to throw her stick.

The retriever was a little more laid back, but just as beautiful.

On one side of the road was this pasture near a small lake.

What a pair.

Oh-My-Gosh.
Look at that sweet face!
It makes me smile.

The sheep weren't too excited to see us.

Oh, there she is again - so cute.

On the other side of the road was this chicken yard.

With turkeys...(at least I think they are some kind of turkey...)

...and geese...

...and of course, well, chickens...

The roosters were cock-a-doodle-doo-ing all over the place.

The sweet youngin' by this sign was not why it was hung.

Coulda been this one...

...or this one...

...or maybe even that one.
Or it was just for show.

Look at this beauty.

She seemed friendly enough, anyway.
And SO photogenic.

The Greer Farm is such a peaceful place. I look forward to going back there again very soon. Out of the hustle and bustle of this here citified life and out where my cell phone has no reception, for starters. It was beautiful. And fabulous. Amen.

But, before we go, for good measure...

Pshaw! You have to at least grin at that face, don't ya?
Or, how about those knees - priceless!
Just a little uptick of the corners of the mouth?
OK, don't smile. Suit yourself.
